Description:
Stab bound book with front covered in my hand marbled cotton. Text paper is Nideggen sand, interleaf is Unryu Chiri and endpaper is hand marbled on Krypton Parchment by Joan Ryan. Back is covered in slubbed bookcloth. Stitched with off white waxed linen and finished with beads and shells. I’ve hand lettered it with Higgins Eternal Ink & Mitchell # 4 nib and Pitt Pen size S & is hand embossed.
Artist’s statement:
I made a similar book with this poem in 2002. I wanted to create a new one now that I have more bookbinding knowledge and improve upon it. This time I decided to do each line of the poem on each double page spread. I find this poem very lyrical and is rich with images for me.
